SENIOR TEA

GREENVILLE SENIOR GIRLS TEA PARTY

Each year WAN hosts the annual ‘tea party’ for Greenville High School senior girls and their mothers or mentors. The tea includes a speaker and entertainment. It takes place in May of each year. The afternoon is a motivational treat for those graduating. WAN seeks donations from the community to provide a venue, food and entertainment. WAN funds the remaining event. Afternoon tea includes: tea, lunch, lots of sweets and genuine fun.
Senior Tea is an annual tradition handed down to WAN. If you would like to help out or donate contact us.

HOW WAN BECAME A SPONSOR

The Senior Tea has been a tradition since at least the early 1960’s and possibly as far back as the 1930’s. The Tea was originally sponsored by the Greenville Federation of Women’s Clubs. The Federation was made up of four clubs. In 2011 the Federation came looking for help to fund the tea. WAN stepped up at that time. In 2012 WAN took it over completely. We felt strongly that the tradition needed to continue because this is an opportunity to recognize the Greenville Senior Girls on their graduation from High School.
